Herbal Remedies for Lung Health

To be honest I've smoked marijuana on a daily basis for a few years now. I'm 18 yrs. old and am trying to get into peak physical condition for college football. My lung capacity is pathetic and they're not very effective at delivering oxygen to my muscles. Is there anything I can do to improve the health of my lungs?
Matthew's reply: Hi Brandon, yes, there's lots you can do. The first thing, obviously, is to stop smoking. You will NEVER reach peak physical (or mental) condition as long as you're still smoking pot. Fortunately, you're still young and it won't take you long to improve your fitness.
Regarding exercise - it's not clear to me whether or not you plan to train on your own or as part your team. I assume if it's with a team then there's already a training program in place. If you're doing it on your own there are many options for increasing lung capacity and overall fitness.
Good examples include: hill sprints, beach sprints, running up stairs and skipping. The key is not to do hours and hours of this kind of exercise - do short, all-out sessions that push you to the limit each time. I don't offer actual programs like this on my site but there are websites that do. Just try a google search.
Regarding herbal remedies for lungs, yes there are some that can help clear out the tar etc from your 2 years of smoking. You will first need a Chinese medicine diagnosis. If you don't know of a Chinese medicine doctor in your area you can search on www.acufinder.com.
All the best,
Matthew
