Remedies for Tension Headache

Hello,

I am 56 year old man.

At age 30 migraine started after my father death. After 6-8 years it changed to tension headache. I have it all 24 hours and feel very sick in morning as I could not sleep properly at night and have tense dreams. I am in hell from the last 26 years.

I am in Mississauga located near Toronto Canada, try every thing including acupuncture and chinese medicine. I do not know the names as doctors give it without package.

Now I also have high blood pressure and sleep apnea.

Would you pleas suggest me medicine which I could buy it from here in Toronto. At present are you in China and if I buy online it will come from China.

I shall be very grateful for your suggestion and advices. Thank you.

Matthew's reply: Abdul, thanks for contacting me. As you have multiple health problems it is very difficult to recommend specific Chinese herbal remedies via the Internet. I can offer general advice only.

I am surprised acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine did not help you at all. The doctors you saw, were they Western medicine doctors who also did acupuncture and herbal medicine?

Or were they trained specifically in traditional Chinese medicine? I ask because it is important not to prescribe Chinese medicine without a traditional Chinese medical diagnosis. A Western medical diagnosis is NOT enough to prescribe Chinese medicine or acupuncture.

In cases like yours where there are multiple, long standing health problems I always suggest:

1. Have a full Western medical check up.
2. If nothing arises from the check up then visit a traditional Chinese medicine doctor for a Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment with acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, etc.

I do not recommend you buy Chinese herbal medicines online unless you have first been diagnosed by a professionally trained, experienced practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine.
